Here is the video from my fastest lap of Sunday's race. I spun 2 laps earlier attempting to late brake and pass in turn 3, and now I am catching back up to the rest of the pack. I was running consistent 1:52's until I caught back up a lap after this.

This weekend was the first time taking out the new 996 spec car out to a competitive event. I ran in R5 class in Orange group which had 47 total cars on track. More photos and videos are going to be uploaded this week.
Arrived at the track early, moved into the garage and went out for a morning session to break in my new Limited Slip Differential. After changing out the fluids, I started my first session of instruction with pro coach Robbie Montinola. We worked on my line and new braking techniques. As well as learned new ways to improve my driving from interpreting data.
Applying what I learned from Friday, I qualified 2nd of 47 which put me on the front row. I got the lead for a couple turns after getting a good jump on the start, but was then taken by the lighter cars in the turns. From then I battled it out with a few of the best drivers in the club, but once you make a small mistake, or leave just enough room, they get right passed. I fought it out with them for a couple laps until I almost spun. After moving back to 6th place, I caught back up under a full course caution. Then got a great jump on the restart, passed about 6 cars, and moved back into 4th where I finished the race.

I qualified 3rd in a much bigger race group. Fell to 5th on the first lap, and then overshot turn 3 on the second lap, moving me into 6th. I caught back up to the leading pack of cars, got into 5th for a bit, then back to 6th. On the very last lap, I was setting up to make my pass into 5th, and I had an electrical issue and I wasn't able to finish the race with only 3 turns left on the final lap.

This was done at Brickyard VFX using their excellent Maya/Renderman/Nuke pipeline. Did some animation, mo-cap cleanup which turned into re-animating androids, particle simulation, and painted a couple of the textures.
