Nike: Colordry. Royale. June 2014.
Nike came out with a new process that dyes clothing without using water called Colordry. In order to demonstrate the process, Royale's creative team dreamed up and developed this story of a mote, and it's adventure to spread pigment through the shirt.
We started off with developing Fume simulations in Maya to control the explosions. Then we also did an elements shoot using several different types of powders to help keep good resolution when the blasts take up the entire screen. The biggest challenge was to keep things looking dry, since the whole process is waterless.
Full Credits list coming soon.
